Pediatric Therapy
- Pediatric
services of physical, occupational and speech therapy can assist
children in reaching their full potential. Working individually
with each family, pediatric therapy services can help children
improve their motor skills and strength, coordination,
visual-motor abilities, self-help and daily living skills.
-
- Physical Therapy
- Children
who experience difficulties or delays in motor skills such as
rolling, crawling and walking, or those who have decreased
endurance can benefit from physical therapy. Physical therapists
have specialized knowledge to assist children and families with
strength, mobility and use of equipment (crutches, walkers,
wheelchairs).
-
- Occupational Therapy
- Children
who experience difficulties or delays with hand use, coordination,
body awareness and daily living skills (eating, dressing and
bathing) can benefit from occupational therapy. Occupational
therapists can introduce or evaluate the use of adaptive/assistive
equipment. Occupational therapists have specialized knowledge to
assist children and their families with fine motor, visual motor,
sensory processing and daily living skills.
-
- Speech Therapy
- Children
who experience difficulties or delays with speech fluency,
oral-motor skills, articulation and language skills can benefit
