Winchester Medical Center offers women of the northern Shenandoah Valley a full range of services for obstetric and gynecological care, from non-complicated natural deliveries to high-risk pregnancy, surgical procedures and breast care.
 
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Winchester Medical Center is a 12-bed specialty unit comprised of an RN staff specially educated to care for moderately to critically ill neonates along with stable-growing low birth weight infants.
 
Winchester Medical Center’s certified childbirth educators are eager to help expectant families prepare for the birth of their baby.
 
Better Babies with Breastfeeding

Sibling Readiness
A one hour introduction to the joys and realities of becoming a big brother or sister. Call for schedule information.
 
Prepared Childbirth
This five-session class focuses on labor and delivery, techniques for dealing with the stresses of labor, and breastfeeding. Includes videos, handouts, small group work with instructor, and tour of Labor and Delivery-Recovery, Nursery, and Mother-Baby units. Participants should schedule their fifth or sixth month, to begin class during the seventh month. “Refreshers” are welcome. Cost $50
