fitness issues, access to services, living options, and
other concerns with greater awareness and
confidence.

Health Screenings
Free or low-cost screenings with immediate
results and explanation offered regularly at Valley Health’s
Health Depot
store at Apple Blossom Mall,
Godfrey Miller Fellowship
Center, and area senior centers and independent living
facilities. Screenings include blood pressure, cholesterol,
hearing, bone density, memory, medication reviews, and stress.
Health Education
Free
educational programs on a variety of health promotion and
disease management topics held at Health Depot and other
community locations where older adults gather.
Multi-week classes are also
offered, including Living Well with Chronic Conditions $,
Building Better Balance $, and Zap Stress $.
Senior Fitness
Special programs
designed especially for older adults, including Gentle
Fitness and
Gentle Fitness for Golf.
Special Events
Programs to provide information, fellowship, and education
in partnership with other Valley Health services and community
agencies. Recent programs
have included Caring for a Woman’s Heart, National Senior
Health & Fitness Day, and the on-going VH Book Club.

Healthy Aging at Warren Memorial Hospital
Comprehensive geriatric evaluations
for older adults with complex health needs, provided by a
specialized team of geriatric physician, family practice
resident, geriatric nurse practitioner, social
worker, physical therapist,
pharmacist, and dietitian. Continence management and wound
care services offered.
