Event Monitor

What happens during the test?

Two electrodes will be placed on your chest and side. You will then be hooked up to a machine that will provide your doctor with a picture of the electronic impulse of your heart.

Will it hurt?

No. We might have to shave your chest for proper placement of our patches.

What do I do to prepare?

There is no preparation needed.

How long will it take?

It will take between 15 to 20 minutes.

What is the reason for this test?

This test will enable your doctors to see what areas of your heart, if any, are having problems. This will let the doctor know the best way to treat your condition. This type of monitor is used when the 24 Hour Monitor does not    provide any diagnostic images. This monitor is usually worn for 30 days. You can remove this device for showering and place back on your body when finished.
