The Center for Bone and Joint Surgery

The Bone and Joint Surgery Center at Winchester Medical Center offers orthopedic services that provide the Shenandoah Valley with a comprehensive referral program for total joint replacement, musculoskeletal repairs and other orthopedic procedures. Patients receive a focused approach to the diagnosis and treatment of injuries and disorders, combining advanced medical technology with a dedicated team of orthopedic surgeons, medical professionals and allied health professionals.

Surgeons at Valley Health have received years of specialized training from top medical schools and residency programs in the field of orthopedic surgery. The multi-cultural staff — which includes (support staff, i.e. a clinical nurse specialist, registered nurses and physical therapists) — is dedicated to providing high quality care with individualized attention focused on each patient’s progress.

Surgeons specialize in total joint replacement for the hip, knee and shoulder, spine repair, and sports-related injuries. Thousands of joint procedures have been preformed with excellent patient satisfaction. Surgeons are known for the concern and attention paid to each patient’s special needs.

Rehabilitation plays a vital role in a patient’s full recovery and begins the day following surgery. For patients requiring additional physical therapy after discharge, Winchester Medical Center offers outpatient rehabilitation services, with many amenities. Outpatient rehabilitation services include occupational and hand therapy, orthopedic spine and sports physical therapy, and therapeutic exercise and treatment. Rehabilitation services through Winchester Medical Center include use of state-of-the-art equipment and the staff consists of board-certified specialists in orthopedics and internationally credentialed spine care professionals.
