The Family
Birthing Center at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital offers a broad range
of obstetric services in a community hospital setting designed to
offer individualized personal care.
The dedicated professionals of the
birthing center team believe in providing women and their babies the
best care possible, in a secure and comfortable facility. Support
services are available before, during, and after the birth,
including education courses and lactation consultants.
The Family Birthing Center
focuses on family-centered care. Large private labor and
delivery rooms are available for patients and their family. In
partnership with the physician, women and family take an active
role in making decisions about the birth. Women may choose up to
four birthing coaches to share in the delivery process. Large,
comfortable waiting rooms are available for other friends and
family members.
