Rehab2Health
at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital offers rehabilitation services to
the greater Shenandoah Valley regions of Woodstock, Mt. Jackson and
Strasburg Virginia. All locations have convenient parking,
wheelchair accessibility and private treatment areas.
For over 30
years, the staff of experienced therapists has met the
rehabilitation needs of the community. Rehab2Health offers a broad

Rehab2Health’s Continence Clinic offers comprehensive evaluation and
treatment of men and women with urinary incontinence. Physical
therapy is a conservative and natural treatment for incontinence.
Pelvic muscle retraining
An
individualized program will be developed to help patients work the
muscles that are used to stop urinating. Making these muscles
stronger helps hold urine in the bladder longer.
Biofeedback
A sensor
records muscle activity and displays it on a computer monitor. This
“feedback” gives a visual snap shop of muscle activity and improves
the quality of exercise efforts.
Electrical Stimulation
Gentle
stimulation acts as an external source of muscle excitation and
gives weak muscles an extra boost. It is also useful to lessen
feeling of bladder irritability and urinary urgency.
Behavioral Education
This
includes education on normal voiding habits, avoiding common bladder
irritants, and bladder retraining.
Body Mechanics
Education
regarding the correct way to do housework, exercise and lift.
A
physician’s referral is needed for most services offered through
Shenandoah Memorial Hospital’s Rehab2Health.
