With the
same spirit of community that built Shenandoah Memorial Hospital from
the ground up in 1951, the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital Foundation has worked diligently for
nearly 20 years to help raise the needed capital to fund new technology,
programs and facilities to improve healthcare services for local
residents. |

Because
of the generous support of individuals, families and businesses, the
Foundation has been able to allocate funds for new facility construction
and renovation, including new operating rooms, a Family Birthing Center,
and in 2001, modernization of the Emergency Department. Additionally,
the Foundation has regularly contributed funds to the Community Health
and Wellness Department for educational programs that encourage greater
awareness of health-related issues and how to reduce risk factors
commonly associated with chronic and debilitating diseases. |
