Outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic services are
provided at multiple locations throughout the region.
Ambulatory (outpatient) Surgery
Ambulatory surgery is performed at the
Surgi-Center of
Winchester, Warren Memorial Hospital, Winchester Medical Center, and
Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.
Services
range from minor procedures requiring local anesthesia, to
surgeries including cataract removal and same-day surgery
for more acute problems such as hernia repair, gall
bladder removal, or arthroscopic knee repair. Across the
country, ambulatory surgery has drastically decreased the
cost and recovery time involved when compared to tradition
inpatient surgery.
Valley Health’s Diabetes Management Program
exists to answer the many questions that come with the
diagnosis of diabetes. Diabetes management is available
through Winchester Medical Center and Warren Memorial
Hospital.

The Emergency Department’s of Valley Health are staffed 24
hours a day, seven days a week, with physicians and nurses
trained in emergency care. Emergency medical attention is
available at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, Warren Memorial
Hospital and Winchester Medical Center.
The Endoscopy Center at Winchester Medical Center offers
patients the latest in endoscopic procedures including
minor surgeries, major medical procedures, and IV therapy
infusions and blood products.
Mental Health
Outpatient treatment services are provided in an off-campus
location near Winchester Medical Center through Valley
Behavioral Health Associates, a group of physicians,
therapists and nurse practitioners affiliated with
Valley Health
Behavioral Health Services.
Valley Health provides Occupational Health Services for
business and industry in the region to help companies
control the cost associated with injured workers,
work-site safety, regulatory compliance and employee
health and wellness issues.

Warren Memorial Hospital and Winchester Medical Center,
and also in the Diagnostic Center on the Winchester

Nurse educators and outreach specialists offer
health screenings, educational programs, and
special events to help
older adults approach health and fitness issues,
access to services, living options, and other
concerns with greater awareness and
confidence.
Wound Care
The
Wound Care Center, housed on the campus of the
Winchester Medical Center, is a medically directed
outpatient service offering comprehensive wound care for
patients with wounds that are not easily healed.
